Exergetic Performance Analyses of Natural Gas Liquefaction Processes
Abstract: Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is the fastest growing energy carrier in the world because of its low environmental impact, flexibility in the market and reserves capacity. In this study, the principal aim is to investigate the theoretical performance of a natural gas liquefaction process which was modeled and analyzed with EES (Engineering Equation Solver) based on the exergetic performance coefficient (EPC). The results showed that maximum irreversibilities are occurred in propane cycle and evaparator section.
